In our region, there are rich deposits of emeralds and diamonds, iron, copper, and nickel, decorative and building stones.
Out of the four thousand minerals known to man, a good quarter are found in the Urals. The presence of diverse raw materials has led to the emergence and rapid development of gold panning, stone cutting, and jewelry industries in the Sverdlovsk region. In these industries, of course, the highest art of Ural masters, who could feel the true beauty of stone, was in demand
